Website Privacy Statement
AccuChart, Inc. ("AccuChart," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered clinical documentation, coding, care gap management, revenue cycle, and answering services to healthcare provider organizations, ACOs, and payers. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, and share information gathered through this website (accuchart.ai), and describes your rights with respect to your information.
This Statement covers our public website only. It does not describe how AccuChart processes Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of our provider customers — that relationship is governed separately by Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) executed with each customer under HIPAA, and by the terms of our master service agreements. If you are a patient of one of our provider customers, please contact your provider directly regarding your health information; AccuChart does not have a direct relationship with patients and does not respond to individual patient data requests.
Any subprocessors or vendors we engage to provide our services are contractually obligated to uphold privacy and security standards consistent with this Statement and applicable law, including HIPAA where relevant.
We may update this Privacy Statement periodically without individual notice. Continued use of this site constitutes acceptance of the current version.
Our Role as a Business Associate
AccuChart acts as a HIPAA Business Associate to the healthcare provider organizations, ACOs, and payers we serve. When we process clinical documentation, transcriptions, coding data, or other PHI on behalf of a customer, that processing is governed by:
-
A signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with the covered entity
-
HIPAA's Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules
-
Any additional data protection terms in the applicable service agreement
This includes PHI processed through AI models and services used in our platform (for clinical note generation, transcription, and coding assistance). AccuChart maintains Business Associate Agreements with the third-party AI infrastructure and model providers used to deliver these services, and PHI is not used by those providers to train models outside the scope of our contracted use.
Nothing in this website Privacy Statement expands, limits, or substitutes for the terms of a customer's BAA, which controls in the event of any conflict.
